About Me

My name is Katelyn Carpenter, and I'm so excited to share the journey behind Wag & Walk Pet Care Services LLC!

I discovered early on that my path would look a little different from the traditional route. My love for animals and desire to work with them far outweighed any pull toward a conventional academic or career path. After giving college a try, I knew my heart was leading me elsewhere, and I began pursuing my passion for animal care.

Over the next five years, I immersed myself in various areas of the pet care industry, gaining valuable hands-on experience in grooming, doggie daycares, and even a luxury pet boarding resort in New York. During this time, I also had the opportunity to begin dabbling in the pet-sitting industry here and there. Each experience helped shape my knowledge, deepen my appreciation for animal care, and strengthen my desire to one day build something of my own.

While caring for animals was always close to my heart, I also wanted to embrace all that life had to offer in my twenties. That journey took me to Charlotte, North Carolina, where, through many experiences, helped me grow both personally and professionally. Through it all, I never lost sight of the hope that one day I would return to my roots in the pet care industry and create something truly special.

For the past seven years, Elizabethtown has been home, and I finally feel I've found the perfect place to bring this dream to life. My vision for Wag & Walk has always been about more than simply providing pet care. I want to create an experience that is just as enjoyable for pet parents as it is for their four-legged companions! A place where pets are excited for their next visit, owners feel confident and at ease, and every interaction is filled with genuine care, connection, and a little extra fun. Wag & Walk was created from a genuine love for animals and a desire to make pet care a positive, personalized experience for everyone involved.

As a pet owner myself, I understand that leaving your pets in someone else's care is a tremendous act of trust. There is nothing more important than knowing your beloved companions are being treated with patience, kindness, and affection, while also having the space and comfort to feel safe and secure. Those are the very values I want every client and pet to experience through Wag & Walk.
